This type of donation allows individuals whose assets are largely frozen in registered plans to make a significant donation. Either during their lifetime or upon their death, donors can donate part or all of their retirement savings (RRSP or RRIF) to the AHF while retaining the right to revoke their decision and designate a new beneficiary at any time. Since retirement funds are the most heavily taxed in Canada, when a donor designates the AHF as the direct beneficiary of registered plans or funds, the donor's tax liability is offset by the tax receipt issued by the AHF for the total amount transferred. <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
