The Aphasia House Foundation (AHF) was created to provide financial support for projects carried out by the Association qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise des personnes aphasiques (AQPA) and to provide a home for people with aphasia.\u00a0<\/p>

\u00c0 compter de 2025, la Fondation continuera d’aider l’AQPA, mais orientera aussi ses dons vers la Maison de l’aphasie, devenue un organisme \u00e0 but non lucratif (OBNL).Elle offrira un milieu de vie adapt\u00e9 \u00e0 leurs besoins \u00e0 des personnes aphasiques \u00e0 faibles revenus.<\/p>

Depending on its means, the AHF plans to also assist organizations that support people with aphasia.<\/p>

A non-profit corporation under Part III of the Companies Act (L.Q., c. C-38), the AHF is a recognized charity registered with the Canada Revenue Agency, where it is listed as a public foundation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The AHF welcomes people with aphasia, their loved ones, caregivers, and volunteers without discrimination based on language, religion, ethnicity, color, or socioeconomic status<\/p>

Among other things, the AHF wants to ensure that people with aphasia who are disadvantaged are included and that they too can enjoy full social participation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Through its policies the AHF is committed to respecting the confidentiality of information obtained, whether from people with aphasia, their loved ones, the volunteers, the caregivers or the donors.<\/p>

At its 32nd meeting on January 27, 2023, the Board of Directors appointed the executive director, Louise Bourbonnais, as the person responsible for the implementation of Bill 25, An Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information in the private sector.
