The Volunteers

Pierre Bourbonnais

Consultant

Retired lawyer

Practiced law for 40 years at the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (Quebec Order of Nurses), the Association des hôpitaux du Québec (Quebec Hospital Association), the Société québécoise de développement de la main-d’œuvre (Quebec Workforce Development Corporation), the Ministry of Justice (assigned to Emploi-Québec), the Health and Social Services Complaints Commissioner, the User Advocate, and finally, the Ombudsman. He has consistently placed service to people—patients, beneficiaries, workers, users, or citizens—at the heart of the various causes to which he has had the privilege of contributing.

Today, he has a particular interest in the Aphasia House Foundation and the AQPA because they are in line with the underlying theme of his past commitments, namely to pay particular attention to the proper understanding of the message one wishes to convey and to recognize the importance of that message for the person who formulates it.

Cong Nguyen

Person with Aphasia

Illustrator...when needed!
